Privacy Policy

• YouTube transcripts — extracted only when you click "Summarize". We read the publicly available captions from the video page you are viewing.
• Your API keys (Groq, Ollama, Gemini TTS) — stored locally in your browser's extension storage for authentication only.
• Extension preferences — provider, model, output language, cache toggles. All stored locally.

• Transcript text is sent to your chosen AI provider (Groq or Ollama Cloud) solely for summarization. The response is returned directly to your browser.
• Podcast script (AI-generated dialogue) is sent to Google Gemini TTS solely for audio generation. Audio is played and optionally cached locally.
• API keys are used only for authenticating requests. They are never sent anywhere other than the provider you selected.
• No personal data — name, email, IP address, browsing history — is ever collected or transmitted.

Everything is stored locally in your browser via Chrome's chrome.storage.local API. Nothing is sent to our servers — we don't have any.

Use the trash icon in the panel header or "Clear Cache" in settings to wipe all cached data instantly.

The extension communicates with these services based on your choice:

• Ollama Cloud (ollama.com) — Open model summarization. Terms
• Google Gemini TTS (ai.google.dev) — Podcast audio generation. AI Terms

We do not use any analytics, tracking, advertising, or data collection services.

We do not:

• Sell your data to anyone
• Share data with third parties beyond your chosen AI provider
• Use your data for advertising or profiling
• Track your browsing activity
• Collect telemetry or usage analytics

Host permissions:

• Clear cached summaries and transcripts from the panel at any time.
• Revoke your Groq key at console.groq.com/keys
• Revoke your Ollama key at ollama.com/settings/keys
• Revoke your Gemini key at aistudio.google.com/apikey
• Remove the extension to delete all stored data permanently.

This extension is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us immediately.

Changes to this policy will be reflected by the "Last updated" date in the hero section. Continued use of the extension constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
